After reading chemistry at Manchester University Michael pursued a successful career in Industry as a polyurethane Chemist, his paper on use of polyurethane in the shoe industry being given at Surrey University in September 1974. Whilst reading for a business studies diploma at Salford, Michael found his interest in the Law. He left industry, studied for and passed the Law Society’s professional exams and was admitted as a Solicitor in December 1978. In the early years Michael practised commercial law and was appointed a partner at Hills Solicitors. Michael left in November 1982 to set up Parkers Solicitors, where he continues to practice in the areas of business law and civil litigation.

Michael’s interests have included flying and skiing , but more of his time is now taken visiting his homes in Greece and New Zealand with a growing love for sailing.

Admitted as a solicitor in 1982 and after gaining a decade of experience in General, Civil and Criminal Litigation Julian now specialises in serious injury claims including cosmetic injury litigation, work place accident claims . Julian’s practice includes those road traffic accident claims where there is an element of credit hire damages and where the insurance industry wrongly alleges that the Claimant has made a fraudulent claim. Julian is a member of APIL.

His hobbies include golf, football, skiing and sailing.

Julia joined Parkers Solicitors in 1991 after completing her A Levels. She qualified as a Legal Executive in 1997 and in 2000 was admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives (now the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives). Julia deals with all levels of Personal Injury Claims in the County Court where she has received judicial recognition in relation to her concise and clear presentation of facts. She has particular interests in serious personal injury claims and claims involving credit car hire charges. Julia also has experience of Commercial Court matters. Julia is a member of APIL.

Julia has recently rekindled her childhood pastime of horse riding; she also enjoys reading and (not forgetting) spending time with her two children.

Cathy joined us in 2015 having graduated from the University of Sheffield with a degree in International and European Law and has gone on to obtain a Masters in Law. Having completed her Training Contract with us, she qualified as a Solicitor in September 2019.

She has a particular interest in high quality civil and commercial litigation and debt collection litigation.

Her hobbies include foreign languages and dining out with friends.

Francesca joined Parkers Solicitors in 2013 after graduating with a BA (Hons) in Spanish & Italian with Translating and Interpreting. She is a Legal Assistant and PA to a Director within the practice. Francesca’s expertise lies in assisting the senior lawyers in the preparation of cases for Trial, dealing with Client liaison, particularly in cases where the Client’s first language is not English by arranging interpretation services throughout the litigation process.

Her hobbies include eating out and travelling
